Job Description

The Principal Portfolio Manager - Enterprise Portfolio Governance is a key member of the Enterprise Portfolio Management team, responsible for providing the enterprise governance which enables the shaping and stewarding of the enterprise investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, financial targets and compliance requirements through rigorous governance and effective health oversight.

Job Responsibility

  • Enable executive decision-making by running Portfolio, Investment & Capital, and Executive Governance boards and ensuring they operate to the highest governance standards
  • Work collaboratively across EPM, EPT, Finance and the wider VF3 delivery community to ensure governance seamlessly shapes and stewards the enterprise investment portfolio to drive optimum business outcomes aligned to strategic goals, financial targets and risk
  • Ensure enterprise investment portfolio governance is underpinned by timely and effective reporting & data, driving a aligned cuture of transparency and ownership across the delivery organisation
  • Drive governance health with a focus on decision execution, meaningful action fulfilment and pro-active risk management
  • Act as EPM’s Product Owner for all external facing collateral (intranet, Teams etc.), ensuring ongoing accuracy
  • Champion a data-driven investment culture across the enterprise, ensuring all decisions are underpinned by robust analysis and benefits forecasts

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in enterprise-wide portfolio management for large-scale, complex organisations (FTSE-100/large corporate)
  • Expert knowledge of capital investment governance, enterprise risk and delivery
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence L1/2 decision-makers
  • Outstanding communicator, with proven presentation, verbal & written skills up to Board/SLT level
  • Close eye for detail with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality outputs (right first time)
  • Adaptable leadership style, able to inspire confidence and drive results across multiple business units / functions and geographies
  • Ability to drive enterprise-wide cultural alignment towards value-based investment decision-making
  • Proven track record of leading portfolio governance boards
