The Principal Portfolio Launch Excellence reports to the International Portfolio Senior Director. The individual will ensure full alignment and endorsement of the international plans to introduce and commercialize Screening solutions and Precision Oncology solutions, respectively, in direct & indirect markets. The Principal Portfolio Launch Excellence is responsible for driving the commercial launch readiness process, successfully bringing new product offerings, product enhancements and services to international markets. This role is a hands-on position and will work with various levels of management and departments through the enterprise commercial organization, screening, precision oncology business unit, and various technical and operational teams. This role will partner closely with commercial and enabling functions based in Head Office, Zug, Switzerland. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring that the international cross-functional team is integrating and/or interfacing with all relevant stakeholders in local markets direct/indirect. The role holder will transfer accountability to the commercial team once the market is established. The Principal Portfolio Launch Excellence leads the commercial workstream in managing deliverables that correspond to robust sales, marketing, and market access strategy and tactical readiness for a successful launch. Their focus is to ensure that the key elements of the commercial development process are robust and delivered on time. This includes leading the commercial launch readiness review process, in coordination with the product development process. This role will work quickly to understand interdependencies, develop and communicate plans, prioritize appropriately, rally cross-functional teams to be united on key objectives, escalate risks and mitigations, and problem-solve collaboratively in a dynamic and matrixed organization.
Job Responsibility:
Lead commercial launch readiness workstream to ensure comprehensive commercial launch planning and timely execution
Drive action throughout the organization to expedite market access & preparation in line with international needs for launch success
Design and deploy an effective structure for commercial launch planning, based on the scope of the product/service offering, resources available, and timeline
Facilitate productive, cross functional meetings with clear agendas and action items
Provide a clear summary of decisions, issues, and actions to ensure key stakeholders are appropriately informed and can act accordingly
Develop, track and report against detailed project timelines/work plans, schedules, status reports, resource plans, budgets and status reports
Serve as a member of the product core team to advance commercial launch readiness and report on progress, risks and mitigations
Apply a robust, screening & precision oncology focused process for commercial launch planning of new products, product enhancements, and services
seek to understand and advocate for adaptations or deviations that may be needed to support a particular launch
develop alternative approaches for execution and communicate rationale
Partner with project managers and cross-functional team members to ensure clarity of objectives, deliverables, timelines, action items, and interdependencies
Identify appropriate owners, deliverables and milestones within the commercial strategic and tactical plan that supports the product and portfolio strategy

Drive positive change management that builds the commercial launch planning team’s organizational capabilities via guidance, planning, communications, and relationship management

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or field as outlined by essential duties
12+ years of cross functional management experience with demonstrated record of accomplishment and delivering results
8+ years of experience leading (directly or indirectly) experienced, complex teams in a healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or medical device company
Demonstrated proficiency in implementing multiple operational and/or marketing projects/programs simultaneously
Strong understanding of program and project management processes, principles, and methodologies
Expert project management software skills
including Smartsheet, Miro, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
