Job Description:

We are seeking a transformative design leader to elevate TUI's digital experience across Markets & Airline business units, placing customers at the heart of everything we create. You'll define and drive a compelling vision, nurture design teams, establish design as a strategic function, oversee design systems, and collaborate with leadership to ensure commercial value.

Job Responsibility:

Define and drive a compelling vision for digital experience excellence across Markets & Airline business units, placing customers at the heart of digital products and services
Lead and nurture a diverse, multidisciplinary team of 30-40 design professionals, creating clear career pathways and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Establish design as a strategic business function, ensuring user-centered methodologies inform decision-making
Oversee the evolution of design systems and build DesignOps capabilities to improve team effectiveness, workflows, and tooling
Define meaningful KPIs to measure design impact
Align with Product and Technology leadership on roadmaps and shared goals
Translate complex requirements into intuitive, accessible experiences across touchpoints
Implement scalable design operations and robust research practices

Requirements:

Proven leadership experience in digital product design, with expertise across multiple design disciplines including UI/UX, Research, and Service design
Demonstrated delivery of business impact through design excellence in complex organizations
Experienced in building and scaling high-performing design teams, implementing DesignOps practices, and governing design systems
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level, balancing business objectives with customer needs
Natural ability to work in cross-functional, agile environments, along with a deep understanding of design thinking methodologies and workshop facilitation
Passionate about accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
