Principal Network Architect

Responsible for defining the strategic direction and leading the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of information systems that support Baptist Health‘s enterprise infrastructure. Architects scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions both on-premises and across multi-cloud environments—including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—within a robust cloud foundation and governance framework. Designs and manages complex routing protocols, Cisco ACI software-defined networking (SDN) fabrics, and Palo Alto firewall deployments to ensure secure, resilient, and efficient network operations that enable critical business functions and cloud transformation initiatives. Oversees system requirements analysis, network modeling, capacity planning, and integration to maintain security, availability, and compliance. Leads troubleshooting efforts, hardware and software upgrades, and comprehensive system testing. Manages and mentors cross-functional teams responsible for network installation, maintenance, and security countermeasures while coordinating vendor relationships and delivering detailed design documentation and technical proposals.
