Principal Netscaler Engineer for a 230-hour remote project. The project is scoped and includes a configuration plan. The consultant will need to confirm LOE and ensure they are comfortable completing the project in the given timeline. The consultant will be supporting a project for a healthcare customer, in which a great deal of the work must be done during non-business hours. Cutover is Monday-Thursday nightly over an 8-week period.
Job Responsibility:
Perform an assessment of current NetScaler configuration
Document existing configuration
Confirm upstream switch ports configured for LACP/VLAN tagging and design 4 additional interfaces to be used, bind interface, VLAN, Bond/Channel, and SNIP
Review and validate new VIPs and design new server records, service groups, monitors, VIPs to support new IP VIP configurations
Configure Netscaler appliances, adding interfaces to support additional VLANs
Configure VLAN, Bond/Channel, SNIP, PBR if needed and validate connectivity
Build new server records, service groups, monitors, VIPS to support new IP VIP configurations during business hours
Work with the client team to implement and validate any required firewall changes
Prepare a testing and validation plan
Work to verify VIPs being tested and validated are up and functional
Test application access to each relevant app server set up for testing
Document all tests and acquire sign off from the client
Requirements:
Must have design and architecture skills for Netscaler configuration
Strong consultative skills to perform an assessment of current Netscaler configuration
Ability to properly document existing configuration, to include, network interfaces, LACP, channels, NSIPs, SNIPs, VLANs, and default gateway, routing, PBR
Experience creating testing and validation plan
Strong communication skills
Must be able to work after hours for cut-over schedules
