Job Description:

Principal Mechanical Engineer role for a Medical Devices Company. Contract position for 12+ months, 40 hours per week on 1st shift. Local to San Diego or willing to relocate at own expense. Onsite 1-2x per week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Mechanical Engineering is responsible for designing and developing components, mechanisms, systems and finished products or equipment
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and its application in solving moderately-complex mechanical problems
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of internal and external customer or business needs

Requirements:

  • Tooling experience is needed to make the mold
  • mold qualification experience at least 5 years – IQ, OQ, PQ
  • Tool design
  • HANDS ON EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a solid understanding of Parameters and setting
  • 1-2 days on site required
  • Molding Validation Not looking for the molding to be sent out
  • Works independently to create design of multiple components, systems or devices
  • Independently tests, analyzes and solves advanced technical problems
  • Applies advanced statistical techniques and utilizes design of experiments
  • Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job family
  • Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations
  • Works independently with minimal guidance
