The Principal Marketing Manager, Video Operations is the owner of demo and clinical evaluation excellence for the KARL STORZ Image 1 video endoscopy platform. This highly visible role is critical to driving revenue growth, market share, and win rate by elevating customer evaluation experience from first demo through commercial conversion. Serving as the subject matter expert for evaluations and demonstrations, this leader partners closely with Sales, Technical Services, Product Management, Operations, and Global stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, world-class customer experience, and consistent execution across the U.S. market.
Job Responsibility:
Own all aspects of demos and clinical evaluations, including volume, customer experience, operational quality, and conversion win rate
Develop and execute strategies to drive year-over-year evaluation growth and competitive market share
Design programs, tools, and collateral that improve evaluation effectiveness and sales outcomes
Monitor customer feedback, competitive activity, and performance metrics
translate insights into continuous improvement initiatives
Serve as the internal expert on best-in-class evaluation execution
Develop and deliver sales training programs that enable field teams to lead high-impact evaluations
Support targeted field evaluations to reinforce best practices and maintain hands-on expertise
Create selling tools and customer-facing materials aligned with evaluation strategy
Lead evaluation planning for new product launches, including logistics, inventory planning, and training readiness
Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Customer Support to ensure seamless commercialization
Collaborate with demand planning and samples teams to forecast inventory needs
Partner with Technical Services and samples teams to improve evaluation logistics, equipment quality, and process efficiency
Manage marketing budgets and ensure strong ROI
Build strong partnerships with regional sales leadership to drive regional evaluation growth
Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting to communicate performance, trends, and business impact to leadership
Act as a brand ambassador for the Image 1 platform, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning
Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders nationwide
Mentor and guide junior team members
lead through influence and expertise
Independently manage labs, conventions, and customer-facing events, reporting outcomes and follow-up actions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
7–9 years of medical sales and/or marketing experience (minimum 3 years in marketing)
Medical device marketing or product management experience
MIS experience required
Experience working with third-party manufacturers and agencies
Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
SAP experience required
Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills
Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, result-driven environment
Role requires frequent interaction with hospitals, operating rooms, and clinical environments
Ability to lift equipment exceeding 25 lbs. may be required
Must comply with all KARL STORZ safety, quality, regulatory, and hospital credentialing requirements
Nice to have:
15+ years of experience in medical device or healthcare marketing
Experience leading demo, evaluation, or customer experience programs
Background in operational and logistical management of evaluation programs
MBA preferred
