We are looking for a Principal to lead business development and project delivery in transaction services and strategic market advisory for our Management Consulting team in the Netherlands. You will work with Dutch energy-sector clients, collaborate with colleagues across our global platform and play a key role in further building our Rotterdam office together with an experienced, collaborative local team.
Job Responsibility
Lead complex projects and oversee project teams
Build trusted client relationships and identify new opportunities
Shape proposals, sales materials and client pitches
Develop thought leadership, intellectual property and client-relevant solutions
Contribute to capability building and knowledge development across the team
Strengthen AFRY’s presence in industry networks and expert communities
Mentor and develop consultants across the team
Support internal training and professional development
Coach teams in structured problem solving and delivery excellence
Requirements
Advanced graduate degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) in Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field, combined with 8–15 years of experience in the Dutch energy sector
Strong advisory track record or working experience in energy companies, developers, public sector and/or grid operators in areas such as strategy, market analysis, financial analysis, policy, power market design and/or M&A and transaction services
Commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to build client relationships, identify opportunities and translate complex market dynamics into actionable advice
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience leading teams and developing colleagues in a consulting or energy-sector environment
Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
