Job Description:

Principal Java Developer. Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. Up to 12 months with 2x12 month extension options. Canberra based and other states can be considered. Hybrid working arrangement. Australian Citizens ONLY. Must be able to obtain Baseline.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the development of software and technical design
  • Implement strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
  • Provide expert technical advice on software development and maintenance
  • Oversee the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team’s developments
  • Drive analysis, design, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities
  • Review and approve proposed solutions and undertake high-level impact analysis of technical requirements, to support project evaluation

Requirements:

  • Java, JEE, JSP, JSF, JavaScript, Angular, CSS, JQuery, JAVA Spring framework, JPA & JDBC, SQL, SOAP, DB2, RESTful Services, CI/CD, Bamboo, ALM, SVN, GitLab
  • Full stack developer
  • RESTful web services & API-C (API Connect), Db2 & MQ
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools, particularly Git
  • OpenShift/Kubernetes, networking & storage infrastructure
  • Experience building & maintaining Linux containers (System Administration of the Linux operating system)
