The Principal IT Pillar Specialist is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex IT Pillar-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. They may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and are regarded as a specialist in the field of IT Pillar. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in the IT Pillar as well as broad knowledge of the IT Pillar discipline within the Information Technology function.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for entire life cycle information management process of projects, from initial estimate to final completions and handover
Review of Invitation to Bid (ITT) from Clients for the Information Management requirements and assessment of the risks & opportunities in this area
Co-ordinate with Business and IT stakeholders in the preparation of the Information & Systems Management Execution Plan for proposals and projects
Prepare Information & Systems Management estimates covering hardware, resources and licenses and control spending within the allocated budgets
Prepare and review of proposal write-ups
Coordinate the project specific infrastructure setup for construction sites, client resident teams and joint venture partners in cooperation with Engineering IT and Project IT
Specify and coordinate the processes and tools for data collection, validation consolidation and handover to the Client
Single point of contact to project management and to the Client for all aspects related to Information Management and supporting systems
Translate project specific information requirements into efficient system configurations and related user instructions in conjunction with execution tool administrators
Prepare functional specification and manage the development and implementation of project specific applications and/or interfaces
Detect and manage project scope changes
Capture lessons learned, best practices and ensure their embedding in the organization
Initiate and conducting Information Systems Management (ISM) audits and peer reviews
Provide input to audits and peer reviews, undertake other project audits as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT supporting EPCI business applications as a lead or administrator
Extensive functional knowledge in the Payroll industry and leadership expertise
Extensive Project Management experience
Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader
Have wide experience with technical tools such as ERP, BI, etc
Maintain key competencies associated with the IT function
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
Must be a finance IT SME in process & technical knowledge of Timekeeping systems, General Accounting, Job Cost Accounting, Sub-ledgers, General Ledger, and Close Cycles (month, quarter year)
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Tax, Treasury, Audit, Financial Reporting, Project Accounting, Billing & Revenue is a plus
