Principal Group Engineering Manager

The Windows Enterprise and Security (ENS) team is seeking an experienced and passionate software development leader to take on the role of Principal Software Engineer Manager and build a new security engineering team in Microsoft’s India Development Center (IDC). ENS is responsible for securing the Windows client and server operating systems, which are used by billions of customers every day across homes, enterprises, and governments worldwide. Our teams build foundational Windows capabilities spanning hardware‑backed security, cryptography, identity and authentication, as well as enterprise management and licensing—critical to making Windows a trusted platform at global scale. In this role, you will establish and grow a new ENS engineering presence in IDC, working closely with partner teams in Redmond. You will hire and lead engineers developing operating system features and services that ship broadly across the Windows ecosystem, helping ensure Windows remains a secure and dependable choice for customers.
