This is a rare opportunity for a Principal Geologist to join our team of world-class Consultants, based in either our Perth or Melbourne offices! We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate geologist who is looking to consolidate their career and share their skills in resource and mining geology. Requirements:

  • Mineral resource estimation, exploration & resource definition drilling
  • Mine geology, reconciliation, and drilling optimisation
  • Due diligence reviews
  • Acting as CP/QP in at least one commodity style (JORC/NI 43-101 preferred)
  • Peer review, training, and mentoring of other Geologists within the Australian team
  • Business development and client relationship building
  • Assisting with mining studies where required
  • Proposal generation and project management
  • Experience working across a range of commodities, mineralisation styles, and geological settings, and can act as a CP/QP in at least one commodity/mineralisation style
  • Have been working in resource estimation for at least 10 years (12 – 15 preferred)
  • Comfortable training and mentoring junior staff members in all aspects of the resource estimation process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated ability to grow strong relationships within a team, with clients, and within our industry
  • Great time management and problem-solving skills
  • Competent in the use of geological software such as Datamine, Supervisor, Surpac or Leapfrog (Geo or Edge)
