Our Client is seeking a Principal Functional Safety and Control Systems Discipline Engineer for an urgent 2-month gap cover assignment starting early June 2026. This role is pivotal in ensuring technical safety integrity while a permanent team member is on secondment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide specialist support for control systems and functional safety, ensuring all legal obligations are met
  • Work alongside the Lead Functional Safety Engineer to challenge project teams and ensure high-level system design
  • Apply Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and risk assessment methodologies like SWIFT to critical infrastructure

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical and Control Systems design
  • Active Functional Safety Certification (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in PHA Pro software
  • Strong collaborative skills for an office-based environment in Perth
