A an opportunity for a Principal Fire Engineer has arisen to join an award-winning construction and property consultancy, proudly employee-owned and driven by a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. As a Principal Fire Engineer, you will take the lead on delivering complex fire safety strategies, designing fire safe solutions, guiding multi-disciplinary teams, and driving best practice across the business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead fire engineering projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring compliance, innovation, and exceptional quality
  • Deliver on a wide range of projects
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, design teams, and stakeholders on fire safety matters
  • Mentor and develop engineers across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Take ownership of project delivery, budget management, and client satisfaction
  • Support business growth through client relationship building and proposal development

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Significant experience delivering fire safety strategies across diverse sectors
  • Chartered status (CEng / MIFireE) or working towards it
  • A proven leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, codes, and standards
