Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Principal level Fire Safety Engineer to join our London office, to play a key role in the leadership and delivery of fire safety engineering design services across a variety of sectors including entertainment, healthcare, education, retail, commercial and tall buildings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take responsibility for the design of fire safety engineering solutions
  • Assist with the preparation of fee proposal documents and fee calculations
  • Monitor and manage resourcing requirements for projects
  • Review and verify designs produced by other team members
  • Provide feedback and sign off designs
  • Take ownership and responsibility for training and mentoring more junior members of the team

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a related discipline
  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
  • Substantial relevant experience in Fire Safety Engineering design within a building services context
  • Proven technical understanding in relevant design software
  • Practical experience in working to British Standard, NFPA, IBC, IFC and Performance-based design approach
  • Excellent communication skills
