Job Description

Workday’s APAC Financials team purpose is to build an outstanding customer experience by delivering engaging and innovative consulting services to help customers, partners, and employees make the most of the Workday financial system. As a Principal Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's product solutions. You will provide your implementation expertise to our clients while understanding how to best configure and test Workday solutions to meet their business requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with the customer's project team to design, configure and deploy their functional requirements
  • Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite
  • Perform the following on an engagement: understand client business requirements, configure the solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist the client in testing the solution
  • Work with the client to help convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assist the integration consulting team to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions
  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Help mentor new consultants
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
  • Ensure the client is referenceable once it's in production
  • Completing and maintaining product expertise and Workday Certification(s) along with familiarity with Workday roadmap
  • Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them informed of overall project status

Requirements

  • 7+ years of functional experience in Financials software solutions or systems
  • 7+ years Consulting experience
  • Functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting

Nice to have

Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously a plus
