Job Description:

Principal Engineer role within the Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) organization, specifically joining the Enterprise Risk Programs Office & Control Technology (ERPOCT) team. The role supports Control Management, Global Privacy, Accessibility & Accommodation Risk, Workplace Services under the Chief Administrative Office.

Job Responsibility:

Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges across multiple areas
Translate advanced technology experience into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture and meeting non-functional requirements
Partner with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies
Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts
Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks
Determine appropriate strategies to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology
Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction
Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers

Requirements:

7+ years of Engineering experience
7+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
7+ years of experience with technology such as Java, Angular, .NET, SQL Server and Big Data
4+ years of experience managing SaaS applications
3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
2+ years of experience leading Generative AI or 'Classical' AI initiatives

Nice to have:

Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications
Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
Experience in Modeling, Gen AI implementations across CAO or COO domains (Supply Chain, Corporate Security, Resiliency, Operations, Risk)
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
Experience with Agile transformations
Experience with Gen AI/Traditional AI stack including Python, Spark, Large Language Models
Experience with Agentic AI frameworks or similar
Experience in creating & delivering technology roadmaps
