Job Description:

Principal Engineer role focusing on Flink, Object Store & GCP technologies. The position involves leading data technology transformation initiatives, working with real-time low latency data pipelines, GCP cloud transformation, and implementing data warehousing/lakehouse methodologies for Corporate & Investment Banking.

Job Responsibility:

Act as advisor to leadership to develop applications and technologies
Lead strategy and resolution of complex challenges
Translate technology experience into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision and direction to leadership on business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
Strategically engage with professionals across the enterprise
Lead application transformation and rationalization initiatives
Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements
Evaluate and adopt modern technologies
Develop strategies to improve developer productivity
Develop strategy to improve data quality
Develop consistent architecture strategy
Reduce technology risk through architectural solutions
Act as liaison between business and technical organization
Provide technical assistance in identifying and developing systems
Act as internal consultant using quality tools

Requirements:

7+ years of Engineering experience
Lead Data technology transformation and implementation initiative for Corporate & Investment Banking
Strong experience with real-time low latency Data pipelines using Apache Flink
Strong experience with GCP-Cloud transformation and implementation
Well versed with Big Query
Experience in cloud Migration from HDFS to GCP
Experience with Iceberg, Object Store (AWS S3/Minio)
Well versed with Data Warehousing/Lakehouse methodologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

Experience with Iceberg, Object Store (AWS S3/Minio)
