Job Description:

Principal Engineer position at HTD Health, a strategy and technology consultancy focused on creating a more human-centric, accessible, and efficient healthcare system. The role involves working with development teams, ensuring technical quality, client partnership, and raising the technical bar within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working with development team(s) to deliver enterprise-level software
  • Ensuring work quality through technical analysis, planning, execution, reviews and mentoring
  • Working closely with clients to align technical decisions with business goals
  • Being the main point of contact for technical cooperation
  • Being the go-to person for team talks, internal workshops, and hackathons
  • Comparing tools and services to provide authoritative recommendations
  • Keeping technical debt visible and ensuring stakeholders understand application stability and observability

Requirements:

  • At least 9+ years of commercial experience in .NET (C#)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Deep understanding of Microservices, Distributed Systems, and API Design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
  • C1 English proficiency
  • Ability to create RFC and other types of technical documentation
  • Drive to implement best practices that serve as a reference for others and set quality standards
  • Radical accountability and proactive risk identification
  • Refinement & analysis mastery
  • Estimation & planning skills
  • Client partnership and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in other backend or frontend languages and curiosity for new technologies
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to optimize development workflows and code quality
  • Interest or experience in navigating regulatory standards like HIPAA or GDPR
