Principal Engineer

Lead New Product Development (NPD), as well as Testing & Validation, for Heil refuse truck bodies, ensuring delivery of robust, production-ready designs from concept through to product launch. Manage end-to-end product development encompassing concept generation, production release, and post-launch field support. Fulfill Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and engineering resource management. Ensure all designs comply with durability, safety, regulatory, and customer performance requirements. Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering strong technical expertise and preparing future leaders. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program teams to support product launches and drive ongoing improvement. Liaise closely with US-based engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure effective day-to-day execution, issue resolution, and alignment of priorities.
