As a senior technical authority within the Workplace Technology organization, you will define and drive the architecture for a diverse portfolio of employee-facing technologies—ranging from conference room systems and enterprise print to custom-built internal tools—while ensuring security, resilience, and scalability at global scale. Job Responsibility:
Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Define and own end-to-end architectural blueprints, reference designs, and standards across software, hardware, and cloud platforms
Act as a torchbearer for AI-driven development, including experimentation with agentic AI tools
Translate near-term technical issues into long-term architectural improvements
Partner closely with Product Management to understand end-user needs, behaviors, and pain points, translating feedback into engineering requirements
Mentor and coach engineers across the organization, raising the bar for technical excellence
Oversee development of bespoke internal tools, automations, and integrations that enhance workplace productivity
Establish and enforce best practices for SDLC, code quality, API design, and system integration
Accelerate engineering velocity through improved tooling, processes, and architectural patterns
Lead the engineering roadmap for Conference Room Technologies, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)
Architect and modernize enterprise print services, transitioning toward secure, cloud-based “follow-me” printing while reducing on‑prem infrastructure
Continuously analyze the end-to-end employee journey, using data and telemetry to proactively identify friction points and improve reliability and user experience
Requirements:
7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Software Development & Automation: Proficiency in modern scripting or programming languages for automation and integration
Unified Communications & Collaboration: Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft technologies including M365, Azure, Intune, Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms (MTR), Conditional Access, and SIP/VoIP
Cloud & Security: Strong understanding of cloud-first architectures, identity, access management, and enterprise security principles
