Cesium is the leading open platform for streaming and visualizing huge 3D geospatial datasets, providing the core technology to build applications with real-world context. Our iTwin Capture team transforms vast amounts of real world data from sources such as drones, cameras, and laser scanners into highly accurate, intelligent 3D digital twins of infrastructure. The iTwin Capture team develops the technology that converts this data into immersive models, enabling smarter, more sustainable design, construction, and operation of critical infrastructure worldwide. A new position has opened for a Principal Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer specializing in 3D reconstruction to advance high-fidelity reality capture technologies. You will work on photogrammetry, neural rendering, and innovative approaches like Gaussian Splatting to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Research, design, and implement advanced 3D reconstruction pipelines
  • Develop and optimize photogrammetry algorithms for scalability and accuracy
  • Implement neural rendering techniques (NeRFs, Gaussian Splatting) for large-scale scenes
  • Benchmark and validate reconstruction pipelines for performance and quality
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to bring research into production

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Vision, Graphics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in photogrammetry and multi-view geometry
  • Knowledge of neural rendering techniques (NeRFs, Gaussian Splatting)
  • 7+ years of experience programming in C++ and Python, with GPU programming experience
  • Solid mathematical foundation (geometry, linear algebra, optimization)
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills
