Principal Engineer - Cables

• Plan and deliver MWS and engineering scopes, including defining deliverables, schedules, and resourcing for assigned projects
• Manage projects and client relationships, maintaining clear oversight of project objectives and outcomes
• Review and verify engineering calculations, method statements, and analyses in line with international codes and standards
• Lead and coordinate engineers and project personnel to deliver work on schedule, within budget, and to required quality and HSE standards
• Maintain accountability for MWS and engineering integrity, including forecasting, change management, corrective actions, and real-time scheduling
• Develop, manage, and control project budgets and ensure accurate project tracking
• Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements
• Participate in design reviews, audits, and engineering reviews related to MWS projects
• Liaise with clients and third parties to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction
• Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance to engineers and personnel, including those new to subsea power cable MWS activities
• Prepare proposals, tender inputs, and support business development and bid-winning activities
• Promote and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) requirements across all project activities

• Degree-level qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation
• Approximately 15 years' professional experience with offshore power cables
• Knowledge of MWS principles, industry standards, and regulatory codes, with the ability to apply these to power cable analysis and design
• Offshore operational experience
• Working knowledge of standards such as DNV-ST-N001, DNV-RP-0360, DNV-ST-0539, CIGRE, and ICPC recommendations are desirable
