Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the architecture strategy for Wells Fargo ATM and Teller technology. This person will be a member of the Architecture & Engineering team within Consumer and Gen AI Technology. This is a high-impact leadership position where you will architect transformative solutions that drive business growth, while mentoring talented developers. You will have the autonomy to influence our technical roadmap and implement cutting-edge technologies that deliver exceptional user experiences in the Branch and ATMs across the nation.

Job Responsibility:

Design scalable and secure banking systems
Act as a technology advisor to engineering leaders
Translate advanced technology experience into strategic technical engineering solutions
Lead technical design discussions and drive consensus on complex architectural decisions
Provide technical leadership and mentorship
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders
Contribute to the development of engineering best practices
Identify and resolve critical technical challenges
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in strategic planning
Evaluate and recommend new technologies

Requirements:

7+ years of Engineering experience
5+ years of experience in systems, applications, or architecture planning, sequencing and modernization
3+ years of Financial Services industry experience
3+ years designing technology solutions for partner software development teams
Knowledge and experience with consumer banking solutions, preferably in Branch and/or ATM technology
Experience in Cloud, Data, DevSecOps, Domain Driven Design, C4 or Archimate, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF), and Agile
Ability to design at multiple levels of the technology stack
Research and analysis including Competitive Analysis and evaluation of third-party technical products
Architecture strategy and road mapping
Adaptive communication skills
Ability to partner with many different platform engineering and architecture teams
Ability to influence across all organizational levels
Establish trusted relationships and provide mentorship to other architects and engineers

Nice to have:

Knowledge and experience with consumer banking solutions, preferably in Branch and/or ATM technology
