Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for Process & Product activities to support Manufacturing areas, New Product, Design, Introduction, Development, Transfer, Implementation, as well as Changes and Validations to existing or new products manufactured within Aibonito facilities
  • Lead and participate in multifunctional projects (ex. R&D and Corporate Projects) to contribute to plant manufacturing strategies
  • Supervise employees over daily operations to ensure quality and productivity are following all company expectations (ex. Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost elements)
  • Manage resources to clearly set workload priorities to effectively support the business
  • Maintains communication channels with corporate Divisions, External facilities and Local function groups to fully support Aibonito product lines as well as supporting the development of new products and /or product transfers
  • Concurrently participate with Divisional groups in the development and implementation phases of new and existing process and product designs
  • Coordinate process or product validations using Local and Divisional engineering resources by acting independently to achieve desired goals
  • Coordinate the engineering activities of multifunctional projects
  • Manage the project status of the Process engineering areas and/or the New Product engineering areas in Aibonito
  • Develop a team environment that promotes synergy
  • Technical Approver in Aibonito. Perform statistical and analytical analysis on process and product related conditions. Use Six Sigma engineering tools
  • Support and assists in the implementation of new products introduction, existing product design modifications, manufacturing improvements giving direct support on change process as change control owner and/or action owner on local or divisional projects
  • Prioritization of projects according to Baxter Aibonito needs
  • Ensure with Supply Chain the operational windows to execute validations process
  • Execute Supplier Notice of Change (SNC) with the team and others to ensure business continuity
  • Responsible of complete the required Observation Certification Program (OCP) – Gap Assessment
  • Audit and nonconformance support
  • Use standard and advanced technical principles to analyze and resolve process related issues
  • Perform and maintain process or product validations and re-validation program
  • Promote a zero-harm workplace, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees
  • Observe data privacy and confidentiality rules at all times

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field and 5-8 years related experience in manufacturing or project engineer in a closely related industry
  • MS engineering and 3-4 years related experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) written and verbal
