Job Description:

Principal Engineer in Post Quantum Cryptography R&D responsible for ensuring continued security posture of Wells Fargo from developing threats like quantum computing. Participate in leading research, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of next-generation network security technologies. Develop code, software tools, and third-party products providing cryptographic technology, Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

Job Responsibility:

Act as advisor to leadership to develop applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies
Lead strategy and resolution of complex challenges
Translate advanced technology experience into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision and expertise to leadership on implementing business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
Strategically engage with professionals and managers across enterprise
Develop new systems and provide technical support to team members
Work with post quantum cryptography, public key infrastructure & architecture, communications protocols, network architecture
Work with Quantum Security/Post-Quantum Cryptography - QKD, quantum-resistant algorithms, QRNG, fraud detection, advanced authentication models
Work with Blockchain/DLT - constructs & use cases

Requirements:

7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
Doctoral/Post-Doctoral degree in STEM field (preference for cryptography, Mathematics) or bachelor's degree in same fields + 8 to 10 years' experience
Extensive experience in Public Key Cryptography and related protocols (TLS, SSH, IPSec)
Knowledge of AES and other symmetric methods
Extensive experience with algorithms and data structures
Experience with session authentication and communication protocols
Familiarity with post-quantum cryptographic algorithms
Strong background in math or math degree
Knowledge in cryptanalysis, decrypting data, breaking down algorithms and ciphers
Up to date knowledge of IT Security hardware, software, and solutions
Information technology-related background
Up to date understanding of programming languages (C#, C++, .NET, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails)
Practical experience using computer operating systems (MS Windows, RHEL/Linux/Ubuntu)
Knowledge of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies

Nice to have:

Knowledge Graph Technology - graph databases, AI/ML, NLP
Preference for knowledge in cryptanalysis, decrypting data, breaking down algorithms and ciphers
Knowledge of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies and platforms
