Job Description:

Principal Engineer to drive the architecture strategy for Cross Platform Capability within Consumer and Gen AI Technology. High-impact leadership position architecting transformative solutions that drive business growth while mentoring talented developers. Technical visionary collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and establish best practices.

Job Responsibility:

Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas
Translate advanced technology experience and business objectives into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
Define and maintain domain-driven architectural blueprints
Lead design and review of end-to-end system architectures
Guide solution architecture for major programs ensuring scalability, security, and performance
Collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, and data teams
Use enterprise architecture modeling tools to document architectures
Leverage AI technologies to inform architectural decisions
Mentor architects and engineering leads
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies

Requirements:

7+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Deep knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture principles including 12-factor app design, microservices, API-first architecture, event-driven architecture, and data mesh concepts
Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevSecOps principles
Proficiency with modeling tools and standards (e.g., UML, C4, ArchiMate, BPMN)
Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, including how AI can be embedded into architecture patterns
Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/GCP Architecture, or SAFe Agile Architecture
Experience in Open Banking, ISO 20022, or embedded finance platforms
Background in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance for banking (e.g., PCI-DSS, FFIEC, RBI, GDPR)
Proven experience designing systems at scale in the Consumer or Retail Banking domain
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have:

Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/GCP Architecture, or SAFe Agile Architecture
Experience in Open Banking, ISO 20022, or embedded finance platforms
Background in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance for banking
Proven experience designing systems at scale in the Consumer or Retail Banking domain
