Job Description:

The Principal Engineer, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Data is responsible for global execution and maintenance of Amgen’s CMMS. This role supports initial asset incorporation, end-to-end asset lifecycle management, and associated compliance across Engineering and Facilities operations. Reporting to the Director, Engineering Systems, Technology & Reporting, this role supports CMMS deployment and management, global reliability, and CMMS data strategy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Owns CMMS roadmap execution and improvement planning
  • Owns and maintains applicable CMMS process governing and guidance documents
  • Serves as CMMS subject matter expert
  • engages applicable site resources (e.g. equipment engineers) and provides technical consultation and training when necessary
  • Leads system enhancements, upgrades, stabilization enhancements, and adoption initiatives
  • Ensures CMMS solutions support asset reliability, maintenance strategies, and compliance requirements
  • Supports standardization of processes and data structures across the portfolio of CMMS records
  • Supports root cause analysis and ensures implementation of CMMS-related preventive and corrective actions
  • Supports management of traditional preventive maintenance as well as deployment of advanced maintenance strategies (such as predictive and proactive maintenance)
  • Partners with Technology, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions
  • Manages risks, dependencies, and delivery discipline across CMMS initiatives
  • Monitors and improves CMMS effectiveness and value (e.g. using internal feedback and external benchmarking data)
  • Advances application of Artificial Intelligence to CMMS data and applications to improve effectiveness and efficiency

  • Strong expertise in data governance, analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
