Principal Electrical Engineer

• Assessing and evaluating existing electrical systems
• Leading the design of electrical building systems for renovation and new build projects
• Collaborating with design team and mentor design staff to produce schematic design, design development, tender, and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget
• Overseeing development of design concepts and ensuring proper application and execution
• Conducting site surveys, gathering critical field data and performing condition assessments
• Maintaining and expanding current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to applicable projects and continually strengthening skills
• Maintaining relationships with existing clients and pursuing new opportunities
• Develop and maintain design practices and standards for a new electrical department
• Develop and mentor staff within the electrical department

• A registered Professional Electrical Engineer with strong leadership skills
• A minimum of 10 years of related experience
• A working knowledge of Revit MEP for the production of drawings is preferred
• Strong design skills, motivated by a collaborative environment
