About the Role Stantec have a very healthy and busy future pipeline of Data Centre projects across Australia! We are looking for a Principal/Associate level Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Buildings team. This is a full-time role that will mainly focus on data centre projects. Stantec are involved in projects from initial master planning, concept and brief, through to installation and commissioning. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success in the Data centre space. The role will enable the successful candidate to develop in a professional and personal sense in a successful global consultancy.
Job Responsibility
Planning, designing and project managing large scale Data Centre projects for a range of clients
Demonstrate Data Centre technical Engineering knowledge
Lead client-facing project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and strong stakeholder satisfaction
Manage internal design teams and oversee engineering assessments across complex, multi-client projects
Represent Stantec in industry forums, client presentations, and strategic meetings to enhance our market presence
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
Experience working in a design consultancy environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of delivery
Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering on Data Centre projects
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building client relationships and growing business pipelines
Software Experience in Revit or AutoCAD useful
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
