Job Description:

A highly reputable consultancy in York is seeking a dependable Principal Designer to join its expanding team. The role involves working on a wide variety of commercial, heritage, and public-sector schemes, influencing design decisions, managing risk, and delivering high-standard technical guidance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver PD duties across multiple sectors
  • Lead design risk management and site assessments
  • Guide clients on CDM compliance
  • Produce PCI and project safety documentation
  • Represent the consultancy at design and progress meetings

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Principal Designer
  • APS, IOSH or similar membership desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015
  • Able to work independently and manage varied workloads
  • Clear communicator with strong technical judgement

Nice to have:
