Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a UX Researcher / Service Designer to join their Product Design & Innovation team focused on B2B experiences. This role sits at the intersection of UX research, service design, and design strategy, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end experience thinking and synthesis. The ideal candidate will operate less as a traditional evaluative researcher and more as a Design Strategist, connecting insights into actionable frameworks that shape product and service direction. This is a full-time role. Salary range is $165-200k.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end-to-end service design initiatives, mapping complex B2B customer journeys across products and touchpoints
Synthesize research, data, and stakeholder inputs into clear, strategic narratives and experience frameworks
Develop key artifacts including journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and opportunity frameworks
Translate insights into actionable product and design strategy recommendations that influence roadmap decisions
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape experience direction and innovation initiatives
Drive service design thinking across the organization, ensuring a holistic and user-centered approach
Present insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
Conduct generative and exploratory research as needed, with flexibility to lean into hands-on research execution when required
Help define and evolve innovation initiatives within the Product Design & Innovation team
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in UX Research, Service Design, or Design Strategy roles
Strong background in service design and end-to-end journey mapping
Proven ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable strategic direction
Experience creating visual artifacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, and experience frameworks with strong storytelling clarity
Solid foundation in UX research methodologies (qualitative and/or mixed methods)
Ability to operate at both a strategic level (defining experience vision) and executional level (conducting research when needed)
Experience working within cross-functional product environments
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:

Background operating as a Design Strategist within product or innovation teams
