As a Principal Data and Product Analyst for Size & Fit, you will play a key role in addressing the challenge of finding the right fit in online shopping. Size and Fit works towards solving the customer problem of not being able to find the right fit in online shopping. Our mission involves gaining a deep understanding of customers’ preferences related to size and fit, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of product attributes and influencing assortment buying decisions with sizing insights. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Size and Fit team, which includes members from Product Management, Analytics, Applied Science, and Engineering. You will act as a bridge to the commercial team. You will measure and analyze how the solutions we provide to our customers are impacting our business and your insights will enable strategic commercial decisions at Zalando.
Job Responsibility:
Bring the business data-driven analytical approach to the Size & Fit Team
you generate hypotheses and try to test them by performing descriptive, exploratory and quantitative analyses
You can translate data into actionable insights for the business
You know when a hypothesis can only be tested by an experiment, and you can help create and drive them
You are the connector between the Customers, Product and the Business
You can translate the Size and Fit benefits to answer complex customer behaviour questions, connect them to business questions and identify and measure opportunities
Be a reliable partner for the Size & Fit Team when related to monitoring, reporting and analytics, and support the Team with more complex analysis
Enable your stakeholders to drive actionable insights independently by strengthening the foundations of analytics infrastructures
Close cross-functional collaboration with Applied Science, Product, Engineering, Business and Operations to drive innovation
You incorporate data from different sources within and outside of Zalando to drive projects
Requirements:
Proven track record of 5+ experience in analytics, preferably with some experience in e-Commerce and product development teams
University degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Quantitative social science, or a comparable subject
Strong technical background with advanced SQL skills and experience with ETL pipelines (e.g. Python, Databricks)
Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or equivalent
Advanced statistical skills such as A/B testing and causal inference
Constant drive and tenacity to learn new techniques and tools are a must
Understanding of the economics of online platforms and/or online fashion retailers, as well as the commercial KPIs governing their success
Effective communication to convince any audience with the insights you generate and compelling storytelling in any form that enables decision-making
Enjoy working cross-functionally
you have great stakeholder management skills to work with different levels of management to support, challenge and bring solutions
Hands-on mentality, a person who always finds solutions to challenges
You are proactive, can adapt quickly to changes and always remain focused on our quality objectives
