Job Description:

Join HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, as a Principal Cybersecurity Analytics Cloud Infrastructure & Site Reliability Engineer. The role involves cloud and platform engineering using Azure and other advanced technologies, supporting the cybersecurity data lake and analytics platform. You will contribute to data engineering, platform operations, and production support for HSBC’s cybersecurity team, with opportunities to grow and innovate in the field.

Job Responsibility:

Operation and enhancement of the strategic cybersecurity data lake and advanced analytics platform in Azure cloud
build and manage CSA Azure platform to enable application deployments
engineer solutions on Azure platform using Infrastructure-as-Code methods
manage Azure connectivity and networking including Express Route, DNS, IP allocation, Network Security Gateways, and Azure Firewall
integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided common cloud services such as IAM, networking, monitoring, operating systems, containers
build and support CI/CD and continuous testing activities
provide maintenance and run support for landing zones or cloud workspaces
ensure services comply with operational risk management standards and cybersecurity controls
update support and operational documentation
troubleshoot CSA Azure tenant/infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

Experience with SRE and Azure DevOps
ability to script (Bash/PowerShell, Azure CLI), code (Python, C#, Java), query (SQL, Kusto query language)
programming experience in PowerShell, Terraform, Python, Windows command prompt, and object-oriented programming languages
demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting
understanding of hardware and software principles and storage technologies
understanding of network protocols and network design
cloud infrastructure and platform engineering experience
ability to build, operate, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure and data services at scale
experience with Azure and related services
data quality, data management, data controls, and data governance experience
security and compliance knowledge
troubleshooting/service support experience
technical knowledge of Azure services such as Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Containers, Databases
familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible
experience with streaming platforms such as Azure Event Hubs or Kafka
bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM fields preferred
proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#
experience in highly regulated industries advantageous
understanding of cybersecurity principles and methodologies advantageous.

Nice to have:

Experience operating in highly regulated industries
understanding of cybersecurity principles, global financial services business models, regional compliance regulations
knowledge of industry cybersecurity frameworks, including OWASP, ISO2700x series, PCI DSS, NIST standards.
