Job Description:

The Principal Corporate Strategy Consultant – Transformation is an emerging expert in strategy and transformation activities and a growing leader on the team without specific direct reports. This individual will support leadership by delivering projects related to strategy development, planning, and implementation to help drive growth, improve the affordability of our products and services, and transform our operating model enabled by technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead Opportunity Identification: Partner with Executives to surface and quantify high-value, transformational opportunities based on market trends, competitive moves, operational data, and pain points
  • Drive and Support Operationalization of Strategic Initiatives: Translate strategy and opportunities into clear charters, operating models, roadmaps, and KPIs
  • support initiative owners and partner cross-functionally to move from concept to execution
  • Support Business Case Development for Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate cross-functionally to quantify initiative value, and identify opportunities to improve solution quality
  • articulate the value story to inform portfolio allocation decisions
  • Deliver Decision-Ready Insights to Senior Leadership: Produce concise, compelling materials that drive alignment on direction, tradeoffs, and next steps across executives and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree / Master’s Degree / MBA and 7 years of general industry experience or 3 years consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm
  • Strategy Development/Planning/Implementation: Knowledge of corporate strategy and/or transformation core skill sets
  • experience formulating, planning, and/or implementing strategy and transformative efforts.
  • Analysis/Synthesis/Insight Generation: Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, provide insights and implications, inform decision making, and make recommendations/prioritize new opportunities to pursue.
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex problems with some oversight.
  • Project Management: Experience managing complex projects with some oversight.
  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Effectiveness: Ability to build strong connections with people and teams, drive results by working across the matrixed environment, and work directly with leadership with some oversight.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written and visual channels.
  • Ability to work within a very fast-paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple, complex priorities.

Nice to have:

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MHA, MD, JD, or PhD.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, especially the health insurance sector.
  • Experience with corporate strategy, growth, product, transformation efforts, technology-enablement, or business case development
