Job Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Principal Cloud Developer (GEN AI) to join their Hybrid Cloud BU and OpsRamp team. The role involves developing and designing scalable cloud-native systems for enterprise IT and MSP customers. Responsibilities include working with GenAI applications, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with the product team to deliver high-quality solutions for managing digital infrastructure and ensuring performance, security, and sustainability.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing and building large scale distributed systems with a focus on Agentic AI applications
  • understanding cloud-native architecture concepts and applying best practices for high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security requirements in the cloud
  • transitioning proof-of-concept implementations into R&D teams to accelerate new product delivery
  • creating technical content such as designs, specifications, and initial software implementations
  • guiding and mentoring less experienced staff members
  • collecting product feedback from field interactions to influence product roadmap direction
  • collaborating closely with the product team to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • developing comprehensive monitoring solutions using cloud infrastructure tools and services
  • facilitating CI/CD by integrating parts of the development process
  • monitoring and managing the performance, cost, security, and availability of applications.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in developing highly scalable cloud and cloud-native applications using a diverse range of technology stacks, architecture, design, development, and support
  • recent multi-agent Agentic and RAG GenAI Software Development experience applied to Networking and/or Observability domains
  • experience developing Network Observability software for large scale Network Monitoring, Network Performance, Network Configuration or Network Capacity Management products
  • deep understanding and experience in Networking Protocol and Networking Best Practices for Enterprise and Service Provider networks
  • proven skills and programming experience in Golang, scalable concurrent processing, REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design and data access technologies
  • experience in building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable REST based stateless APIs/web services for web applications in Kubernetes environment
  • familiarity with code versioning tools - such as Git
  • knowledge of Network and NetFlow Logs processing and indexing is a plus
  • strong knowledge of container architectures including Docker, Cri-o, Containerd
  • understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns
  • strong knowledge developing Kubernetes applications with Observability principles
  • expertise in Linux
  • knowledge of hybrid cloud environments.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Agentic Protocols such as MCP, A2A
  • knowledge of Kubernetes Orchestration tools such as Rancher Desktop
  • knowledge of Kubernetes and Application observability
  • knowledge of Linux Networking eBPF based observability (sockets, netdevices, namespaces, routing, bridges, iptables, conntrack, networking device drivers, storage), Container Networking technologies (Docker), Linux Storage architecture
  • knowledge of complex event processing and event-driven architecture.
