Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Principal CAD Technician with leadership experience to manage a CAD team and be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality engineering drawings across a range of civil and electrical projects.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the delivery of CAD outputs to the Design Department and across project teams
Oversee the production of engineering drawings in compliance with company and industry-specific standards
Provide expert CAD input and mentorship to team members, ensuring a high standard of technical quality
Manage workload allocation across the team, ensuring project deadlines are consistently met
Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews of engineering CAD deliverables, including self-checking of all outputs
Support the development and continuous improvement of drafting standards and processes

Requirements:

HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering
10+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering or Civils environment
Strong command of CAD software including: Microstation Connect, SolidEdge, NX, or Open Utilities Substation
