The Security Principal Associate is the primary point of contact between Global Workplace Services and Capital One's lines of business, providing strategic consultation to mitigate physical and safety risks across local, regional, and enterprise levels. This role involves performing vulnerability assessments to ensure that all Capital One retail locations comply with corporate standards, industry requirements, and regulations, thereby ensuring the safety and security of associates, contractors, and customers. The Associate partners with internal and external stakeholders to deliver physical security controls, develops proactive plans to establish senior management support for security initiatives, and helps maintain business continuity. Furthermore, the Associate is responsible for planning and executing assurance reviews of security programs, designing and executing compliance tests for security policies, and overseeing contracted guard resources within their assigned area.
Job Responsibility:
Provide security consulting for incidents involving Global Workplace Services customers in a regional area of responsibility
Perform vulnerability/risk assessments that ensure locations are compliant with corporate standards, requirements and regulations
Forge relationships with internal colleagues and external partners on all safety and security-related programs
Effectively communicate and influence associates and contractors across the organization to implement and support safety and security programs
Responsible for planning, organizing and executing quality assurance programs to ensure the safety of Capital One associates, contractors, customers and assets
Review and analyze data to assess and determine security and safety trends while developing and deploying risk mitigation strategies
Manage escalated and crisis situations with calm resolve and well managed counsel
Build and maintain partnerships with law enforcement, subject matter experts and relevant industry professionals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in multi-site retail security, loss prevention, physical security, or law enforcement
At least 3 years of experience managing a regional or enterprise contract security staff
At least 3 years of experience in Relationship Management or Security Consulting
Nice to have:
Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
4+ years of experience in Program Management
7+ years of experience managing a multi-site retail security or loss prevention, physical security, or threat-management team
3+ years experience managing proprietary and contract staff across diverse regional environments
3+ years experience with a Fortune 500 company’s safety and security programs with regional responsibilities or significant experience in a large security consulting role with regional responsibilities or similar experience in the law enforcement or the military
3+ years experience adapting, designing and implementing security controls in adherence with established requirements
3+ years experience partnering with internal and external clients to further organizational safety and security objectives
3+ years experience with enterprise-wide integrated security systems, CCTV and incident reporting systems
3+ years experience developing, managing and influencing relationships with local, state, federal law enforcement, emergency management officials and organizations
