Job Description:

As a Principal Associate in Workiva agile pod, you won't just support the existing system, Workiva—you'll be at the forefront of helping to shape our financial reporting automation vision and enhancing the user experience for associates across the division. You will be a key driver in leading automation initiatives, serving as the critical liaison between business strategy and technology, partner with internal customers and stakeholders to problem solve, support day-to-day operations and maximize the value they get from using Workiva. If you are passionate about driving agile best practices, owning strategic support functions, and delivering best-in-class products to our Finance customers, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist our Finance business teams in understanding core technology capabilities including applications, platforms, and underlying technologies at the software, operating system, and infrastructure levels and how to leverage them for the greatest impact
  • Think through interdependencies, proactively identify and resolve issues, and make recommendations that are focused on our future state
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, configure, test, implement, and support both technical and business solutions for external reporting systems
  • Provide technical leadership during implementation including the development of strategies to verify requirements are being met, testing and issue resolution, and the tuning and optimization of solutions from a performance, resiliency, reliability, and scalability perspective
  • Engage on enterprise and team initiatives and support more junior staff and project contractors as they analyze and help identify and write business requirements
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, dependencies and escalation
  • Manage customer relationships, address customer escalations and communicate with key stakeholders, to share updates and proactively make recommendations to complex technical problems to leadership
  • Provide general technical leadership, guidance, and support to the application and business-as-usual teams including platform, delivery, and production support
  • Support complex troubleshooting and testing efforts across multiple platforms and environments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, or a combination

Nice to have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in agile software delivery
  • At least 3 years of experience in Python
  • At least 2 years of experience with Workiva Wdesk
  • AWS Developer Certification
