Our Asset Strategies Group is growing, and as such we are seeking a talented Principal Asset Management Engineer to join our Water team based in Melbourne. In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that ‘provide advisory services with community in mind’ to deliver asset management excellence for our clients. You will join a dynamic and skilled group of asset management practitioners that work on strategic, tactical and operational advisory projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development of strategic artefacts, such as policies, strategies, objectives and levels of service
  • Financial management and lifecycle cost modelling
  • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability services
  • Tactical asset management planning, across renewal programs and operations and maintenance programs, documented in asset management plans
  • Data collection and analysis, including site inspections and occasional travel to client locations
  • Managing existing client relationships while seeking new business opportunities
  • Research and investigation to determine commercial solutions for clients
  • Project management and delivery, ensuring work is of a technically high standard and within time and budget constraints
  • Preparation of work plans and resource schedules for projects
  • Make independent decisions and provide guidance and coaching of developing asset management personnel

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Dual qualification in Business Management, Finance or Economics will be highly regarded
  • Extensive experience working within or consulting to the water sector, or similar public infrastructure service delivery authorities
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure advisory services in the discipline of asset management and/or reliability engineering services
  • Well-developed analysis and problem solving skills
  • High-level report writing skills
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Research skills and the ability to interact and deliver technical information to clients
  • Have full Australian Working rights
