Job Description:

The town of Deerfield (pop. 5,090) is accepting applications for a permanent Town Principal Assessor. This position works under the general administrative and policy direction of the Board of Assessors and is appointed by the Selectboard. This position performs a variety of routine and complex technical, administrative, and field work related to the appraisal and valuation of commercial, residential, industrial, and personal property. The Principal Assessor oversees the Town’s assessing functions in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Department of Revenue requirements, and locally adopted policies of the Board of Assessors.

Job Responsibility:
