Job Description:

Principal Architect role at Wells Fargo advising senior leadership, developing architectural frameworks, leading complex technical solutions, and driving transformation strategy across the enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop architectural framework & delivery
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex challenges
Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing transformation strategy
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers
Ensure applications adhere to established standards and industry best practices
Drive the definition, establishment, selection of strategic tools, and application of architecture frameworks
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies

Requirements:

7+ years of systems architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Define and manage architectural standards and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
Lead architecture workstreams across infrastructure, applications, data, and security
Design end-to-end solutions using modern technologies (e.g., microservices, APIs, cloud-native architectures)
Oversee the development of architectural blueprints and roadmaps
Guide teams in implementing secure coding practices and performance optimization
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs
Research industry trends and emerging technologies
Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and sustainability standards

Nice to have:

Architectural leadership experience
TOGAF or Zachman framework knowledge
Cloud-native architecture expertise
Experience mentoring junior architects
Knowledge of emerging technology trends
