Job Description

Step into a critical, senior financial leadership role supporting the successful delivery of high profile projects vital to long-term growth and upcoming events. Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD. Work Type: Contract, 3 year term (no extension options). Hours: Maximum 38 hours per week (7am–6pm, Monday to Friday).

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, produce, and enhance project financial reports to meet diverse internal and external stakeholder requirements, including building advanced financial reporting tools and dashboards
  • Provide high-level financial analysis, offering clear explanations for variances, trends, and financial positions to senior management and governance groups
  • Manage the monthly cash flow process and financial reporting, working closely with wider corporate finance business units
  • Work productively with systems (SAP), contract management tools and other financial systems to ensure all records are fully reconciled and compliant with corporate policies
  • Collaborate effectively with program/project team members and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate financial insights that support strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) status, or tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Proficient use of Microsoft software, specifically PowerBI to build dynamic financial dashboards, alongside experience with SAP
  • Demonstrated experience working as a finance manager or senior project accountant within a government department or large-scale civil infrastructure environment
  • Strong capability in budgeting, monitoring, and reporting, backed by exceptional communication skills to build relationships
