Join us at Barclays as we seek to grow our Listed Derivatives coverage team within Futures Electronic Execution. We are seeking someone with a strong quantitative mindset and proven expertise in understanding and supporting execution platforms, combined with experience in listed derivatives. A role in Markets involves trading financial instruments, such as bonds, stocks, and derivatives. You'll also arrange capital raisings, manage debt and equity issuances, and structure, execute, and syndicate transactions for clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, managing their day-to-day execution requirements with a focus on our trading platform
  • Driving growth by expanding our client footprint and contributing to the evolution of our product offering
  • Expanding our single-dealer footprint and the use of our listed derivatives algorithmic trading suite including synthetic spreader
  • Effectively managing both existing and prospective client relationships across all execution-related needs
  • Delivering best-in-class coverage, high levels of client engagement, ensuring a seamless and exceptional client experience
  • Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters
  • Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks
  • Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of vendor-based execution platforms such as Fidessa
  • Understanding of the futures venues and product characteristics
  • Effective skills and experience in engaging clients and building relationships ideally in a Front Office client capacity
  • ‘Attention to detail’ to minimize execution risk when proposing/resolving issues, working at pace to prioritise tasks

Nice to have:

  • Product experience with listed derivatives or cash equities
  • Ability to consume and extract MIS content, including TCA
  • Some programming knowledge, ideally with Python
  • Experience presenting to Buy-Side clients
  • Exposure to vendor platforms utilised across the industry
