Job Description:

Primary Teaching Assistant Southend-on-Sea | £85 - £95 a day. Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and helping them reach their full potential? We are looking for dedicated and energetic Teaching Assistants to join our team in Southend. Whether you are an experienced TA or looking to start your career in education, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom. At the Essex Team, we work with a wide variety of primary schools in Southend. We offer total flexibility-whether you're looking for day-to-day supply to fit around your lifestyle or a long-term position in a local school.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting Learning: Working 1:1 or in small groups to help children understand lessons and stay engaged
Removing Barriers: Assisting students with additional needs (SEN), including Autism or ADHD, by adapting tasks to suit their learning style
Classroom Support: Helping the teacher set up activities, manage classroom behavior, and create a positive learning environment
Building Confidence: Providing emotional and social support to help pupils grow in independence and self-esteem
Encouraging Interaction: Supporting children during play and group work to develop their social skills

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children (schools, youth work, or childcare settings)
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable personality
A basic understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role)
