Job Description:

We are looking for teaching assistants across London to work on a full-time and supply basis in a range of South West London primary schools. We have Teaching Assistant opportunities across all primary age groups (EYFS/KS1/KS2).

Job Responsibility:

  • Support children and teachers in a variety of ways
  • In early years: support children with play based learning, early reading and phonics, learning numbers and letters
  • In primary age groups: support children to access learning activities across English, Maths and various other subjects
  • Work with specific child or children with special educational needs (SEND): building relationships, adjusting activities, helping them to focus in class and work with other children
  • Work full school day – 8.30am to 4.00pm (approx)

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • 2 references covering the past two years
  • Caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of SEND
  • Experience as a graduate considering teaching
  • Experience as nursery staff, nanny, sports coach, play leader, Sunday school teacher, or care worker
