Primary Teaching Assistant | Classroom Support | Local Primary Schools Salary: £88.92 - £100 per day (Weekly Pay) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Join our local primary network as a Primary Teaching Assistant and help create a vibrant, engaging learning environment for every pupil. Work within EYFS, KS1, and KS2 settings. Support the Class Teacher, lead small groups in phonics, reading, or maths. Enjoy typical school hours with no take-home work or weekend commitments. Essential Requirements: Proactive & energetic; relevant experience; academic confidence; enhanced DBS; commitment to Safeguarding. Job Responsibility

  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
  • Lead small group interventions in English and Maths
  • Assist in preparing resources, creating displays, and managing classroom behaviour
  • Assist with social and emotional development of students
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to track pupil progress
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-energy learning environment

Requirements

  • Proactive and energetic attitude
  • Relevant experience from a school, youth club, coaching, or any mentoring setting
  • Academically confident with a strong grasp of the primary curriculum
  • Holds an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
  • Committed to Safeguarding and child welfare

  • Progress Tracking: Observe and record student engagement and breakthroughs, offering clear feedback to the Class Teacher and SENCO to help shape future learning plans
