Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping children achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities
  • Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
  • Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting is desirable
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
