Primary Teaching Assistant - Outstanding Primary Academy. Location: South Kenton / Wembley Area (HA0). Contract Type: Fixed-Term. Hours: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday-Friday). We are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join our 'Outstanding' rated academy in South Kenton. Whether you are supporting a child with additional needs, leading a small phonics group, or helping a teacher manage a busy classroom, you will be an ambassador for our 'can-do' culture. Job Responsibility:
Deliver small-group interventions in reading, writing, and maths to help close attainment gaps
Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEND), ensuring they can access the curriculum
Assist the Class Teacher in preparing resources and maintaining an inspiring, organized learning environment
Ensure student safety and promote positive play during break times and lunch hours
Actively promote the welfare and protection of all children within the academy
Requirements:
Strong Core Skills: Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Passion for Learning: A genuine desire to support children's academic and personal growth
Resilience: The ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain high expectations for student behavior
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with pupils, teachers, and parents
Adaptability: A flexible approach-no two days in a primary school are the same!
