Job Description:

Primary Teaching Assistant | East Grinstead, West Sussex. Are you passionate about helping every child reach their full potential? Randstad Education are looking for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in East Grinstead. This is a full-time, term-time-only position where you will play a vital role in supporting students across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. We need an enthusiastic and patient individual to assist the class teacher, create a positive learning environment, and provide crucial support to pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Job Responsibility:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Provide one-on-one or small group support, especially for pupils with SEN
Help prepare classroom materials and displays
Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to meet students' needs

Requirements:

Experience working in a primary school setting (paid or voluntary)
A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience or an understanding of various additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language)
A DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one

Nice to have:

Experience with SEN is highly desirable
